New and personalized hotel services for business travellers

From scents to fitness classes, hotels are developing new experiences

An increasing number of business travellers are seeking more value and personalized experiences. Some new things on the destination scene:

Sassy Hotel Ups the Cool Factor

The playful OPUS Hotel in Vancouver does it again with upgraded rooms and provocative works of art. A fresh signature scent, a new restaurant, five fictional muses (representing the personality and preferences of the OPUS guest) and bold, cheeky design representative of the 1970s are all part of the revamp.

Kickboxing to Booty Ballet

The Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix has introduced an innovative fitness program offering a varied menu of active options for guests, from cardio kickboxing and yoga booty ballet to Pilates and Zumba.

New Casino for Bahamas

Baha Mar Resort, a new US$3.5-billion resort being developed in the Bahamian Riviera, is scheduled to open in 2014. Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, Mondrian (a Morgans Hotel Group property), Grand Hyatt and The Baha Mar Casino & Hotel will all be part of the project.

New Vision for Vegas: Go Outside

MGM Resorts International will soon be prompting visitors to get outside. Innovative development plans call for an outdoor entertainment district that features casual bars, eateries, retail and a public park. The new patio culture opens in early 2014.
