What’s New at Vegas Pool Parties

Check out the season’s highlights

Las Vegas pool party season officially kicked off in March, but now is when it’s really heating up. Cabanas are packed, pools are dotted with bikinis and DJs are performing at the biggest pool parties of the season. Here’s the scoop on what’s new this year.

Moonlit Pool Parties

Warm nights mean pool parties don’t have to end when the sun goes down. Wynn Las Vegas’ Encore Beach Club at Night has extended its Thursday-night pool parties to include Friday nights as well. Expect themed parties and big-name DJs like Skrillex on May 26 and Diplo on May 27. Drai’s Beachclub at The Cromwell also launched a new Tuesday-night pool party this year called Nightsplash. Take in rooftop views of the illuminated Vegas skyline from seven pools and enjoy live performances and DJ sets.

The New Sky Beach Club

Tropicana Las Vegas is also getting in on the pool party scene with its new Sky Beach Club, which opened in April. The South Beach-inspired dayclub features two pools, a hot tub, and ocean-blue cabanas and daybeds beneath towering palm trees. Other highlights include celebrity party hosts (like Rob Kardashian on May 28) live music, fashion shows, DJs and even beer pong and swim-up Black Jack.

A Revamped Pool at Citrus at the Grand Pool Deck

The Strip isn’t the only pool party destination in Las Vegas. The Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino’s pool revealed a makeover in March with the opening of Citrus at the Grand Pool Deck. The only-casino-top pool in Downtown Las Vegas, the 35,000-square-foot area features an infinity pool, a fire pit, ample lemon-and-lime-inspired seating and cabanas, and recreational space with foosball and table tennis. The patio-length bar now acts as a spirits-infused lemonade stand and 12 poolside herb gardens provide fresh ingredients for a light-fare menu. This revamped spot will also host DJs and live concerts.
